Gilgit baltistan is situated in the northern part of Asia and also northern part of Pakistan near China. India is in West of Gilgit balstan and north west of is China.In south and north west, Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province lies,in absolute north there is a thin Afghan belt .Populationcalt Wakhan bisects Gilgit Baltistan and Tajikistan. of this region is nearly 2.5 million. The area of Gilgit baltistan is 72971 sq km.This region is 70to 80 percent consists with mountains and world's five Highest peaks are standing here.This region is called heaven for mountain tourism, hiking, beautiful landscapes,pure nature and hospitable peoples. Fresh Fruits of Gilgit baltistan are also famous is the region. Apple, peach,pear,grapes, apricot,peanut,walnut, cherry, almond,malberry and pomegranate are famous.
There are almost 6 languages are spoken.Shena, khowar,brushski,wakhi,gujriya and balti are spoken in Gilgit baltistan.
